Abstract
This thesis seeks to critically analyze the book Blood in My Eye by George Jackson as a text of Africana critical theory on settler colonialism. This thesis will give a sweeping literature review of George Jackson and how his life is remembered today. It will explore American history as it relates to settler colonialism and how reading American history through a settler colonialism lens helps to better understand George Jackson’s ideas and what can be learned from his life. Finally, it will give a close and in-depth reading of Blood in My Eye that engages critical theory, class dynamics, people’s warfare, and fascism in America through an anti-colonial lens.
