Abstract
This project examined key predictors of hypertension using logistic regression to assess associations with obesity, diabetes, smoking status, age, and sex. Obesity, age, and diabetes were significantly associated with higher odds of hypertension, while current smoking and female sex showed lower odds in the adjusted model. A significant obesity sex-interaction indicated that the effect of obesity on hypertension differed between males and females. These findings highlight the importance of considering demographic and metabolic factors when evaluating hypertension risk.
