Description
Prepared by the Spring 2001 Preservation Planning class. This Historic Preservation Plan contains the developmental history of the town of Gay, identifies the town’s historic resources and provides recommendations for the preservation of those valuable properties after they are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The purpose of this preservation plan is to provide recommendations for the city on historic designations, and preservation guidelines for the maintenance and rehabilitation of historic buildings. The importance of community involvement is also emphasized, as well as the vital role strategies for community education play in the success of a preservation plan.
