The Department of Nutrition offers undergraduate and graduate programs. We focus on preparing students for beginning and advanced professional practice in nutrition and dietetics. We offer individualized advisement, and our academic programs include the core common to dietetics programs, as well as more specialized coursework in sports nutrition, entrepreneurial nutrition, nutrition and aging, and advanced medical nutrition therapy. Our research projects (faculty and student) include nutrition assessment of specialized populations, sports nutrition, and nutrition interventions. Our alumni work in health care settings, public health settings, schools, private businesses (including consulting practices), and government settings.
