Description
Assessment pervades every single department in the library, and every staff person has some part to play. In preparing for a new library strategic plan, and for campus SACS reaccreditation, the University of North Texas took the opportunity to identify exactly what assessments are being done, no matter how internal they may seem. A newly formed Assessment Workgroup identified qualitative and quantitative assessments being performed for both internal and external bodies, and mapped them to demonstrate to employees everything the library does to improve service quality, make workflows more efficient, and improve education for students.
This presentation will describe our strategic goals related to assessment, show how the library fits into campus assessment activities, and display visually the activities we undertake. Special attention will be paid to examples of value research initiatives where we are trying to correlate activities to student and faculty success, and the process we undertook identifying and standardizing our output measures.
