Abstract
This paper argues how influential African-American politicians worked in conjunction with the elite white in power to create an economic dynamic that would win the Olympic bid for Atlanta in 1988, and carry it through until certain truths were exposed in the 1999 Salt Lake City “bribery scandal.”
