Abstract
Randstad's Corporate office in Atlanta, GA has a breakroom that offers a variety of processed, convenient snacks and sugar-sweetened beverages and is limited in healthy options. Adding healthier vending options, along with other methods including education and a subsidy program, have been proven methods to improve employees' health according to the literature. Healthier vending items will be added to the breakroom at Randstad and these new items will be subsidized. To educate the employees on which foods to choose from, the traffic light system will be utilized on posters that will be hung up on the wall of the breakroom. Additionally, employees will have access to a webpage for more nutrition information. This healthy vending program should not only benefit the employees, but also the employers.
